Privacy Policy

Shorts Factory is a private, personal-use application operated by its owner. It is not offered as a public service and does not provide public user accounts.

YouTube API Services

Shorts Factory uses YouTube API Services. Google's collection, use, and protection of information are described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can review or revoke Shorts Factory's access from Google Account permissions.

Data accessed

After the owner explicitly authorizes access, Shorts Factory may read the authenticated YouTube channel's identity and upload playlist; video identifiers, titles, descriptions, publication and privacy status, file details, and related video-resource metadata; and YouTube Analytics data and authorized statistics for the owner's own videos. The monitoring authorization uses the youtube.readonly and yt-analytics.readonly scopes.

Shorts Factory does not read or store comments or viewer identities and does not post comments, likes, subscriptions, or other social activity. It does not currently hold a YouTube upload credential. If the owner later separately authorizes youtube.upload and youtube.readonly, the application may upload only owner-approved videos with the title, description, visibility, scheduled publication time, and Made-for-Kids designation selected by the owner.

How data is used

YouTube API data is used only to reconcile the owner's uploaded videos with Factory renders, monitor publishing state, display current channel and video performance, prepare a private publishing queue, verify the authorized channel, and—only after separate upload authorization and a per-batch approval—publish an approved video. YouTube API data is not sold, used for advertising, or sent to an AI provider.

Storage and retention

OAuth credentials are stored only on the owner's private infrastructure with access restricted to the service account. They are never served by this public website. Authorized YouTube Analytics API data and authorized statistics may be kept as long as necessary for the owner's performance feedback while authorization remains active. At least every 30 days, Shorts Factory verifies that the authorization remains valid and that linked videos have not been deleted.

Other YouTube API Data is refreshed or deleted within 30 days, and the interface displays the current refreshed values. Raw API response bodies and upload-session references are removed under the same rule. When YouTube API Data is deleted, Shorts Factory may preserve Factory-owned material that is not YouTube API Data, including original renders, human reviews, local publishing decisions, internal identifiers, request metadata, hashes, and provenance.

Revocation and deletion

The owner may revoke access through Google Account permissions or use Shorts Factory's local revoke command. The local command revokes the relevant Google authorization, removes the local credential, and begins deletion of data obtained under that authorization. Google-side revocation is detected by the scheduled authorization checks and authenticated calls. YouTube API Data associated with a revoked authorization is deleted promptly and no later than seven days after the deletion or revocation request.

The owner may also request deletion by emailing . Shorts Factory completes deletion of the requested YouTube API Data within seven days. Deleting data from Shorts Factory does not delete or otherwise affect the owner's videos or other data stored by YouTube; those must be managed separately in YouTube.

Sharing

Shorts Factory does not sell, rent, or share Google user data with third parties. It transmits data only to Google / YouTube API endpoints as necessary to perform the owner's requested operation. It does not use Google user data for advertising or marketing.

Security

The application, media library, and credentials run on private infrastructure that is not exposed by this website. Credentials are stored separately from the application data with restrictive filesystem permissions. Communications with Google / YouTube APIs use HTTPS, and the publishing path verifies the authenticated channel before accepting an upload credential or performing an authorized upload.

Cookies and device data

This public website is static. It has no backend, JavaScript, analytics, advertising, user accounts, cookies, or browser storage. It does not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or browsing activity. The private application does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
